Share

InPost - a leader among e-commerce delivery platforms in Europe - in cooperation with GreenWay Polska, started building a network of charging stations for electric cars. The stations will be located in InPost distribution centers and at Paczkomaty.

- InPost is the most modern logistics company in Europe in terms of innovative, ecological solutions and we do not rest on our laurels. We have the largest network of parcel pickup points outside of Europe in Europe
home - thanks to which we reduce CO2 emissions by 75% compared to courier deliveries. We have one of the largest electric car fleets in Poland and we are investing heavily in its expansion. We install photovoltaic panels to make Paczkomaty® InPost autonomous and ecological, additionally, they are surrounded by an anti-smog block. Now we are taking the next step - electric car charging stations. In the future, Paczkomaty® InPost will not only be a multi-service point that will allow you to collect and send parcels and provide various services - but also an autonomous charging station where you can charge your phone, scooter or car - emphasizes Rafał Brzoska, President of InPost.

Preparing for the electrification of the fleet, InPost conducted a tender this summer for the construction of infrastructure, delivery and assembly of charging stations as well as management and service in all its centers
logistics. It was the largest tender in the electromobility industry in Poland so far. As part of the project, GreenWay Polska will deliver and install AC and DC charging stations in InPost logistics centers. The company will also deal with the management and service of chargers.

- The electrification of the car fleet is not only about buying cars. It also requires preparations at the level of the charging infrastructure. Cooperation with InPost is the largest electromobility project for business in Poland so far. We are glad that we can help our partners achieve the ambitious goals of minimizing the carbon footprint - says Rafał Czyżewski, president of GreenWay Polska.

In addition, InPost is expanding its fleet by another several hundred electric vehicles, including over 250 Nissan e-NV200s and 10 eSpriners at Mercedes Benz, which have joined the current InPost electric vehicle fleet. The cars will be used by couriers and for deliveries to Parcel Lockers® in partner cities of the Green City program. For InPost, this is the next step in the development of the "Green City" concept - a package of modern services for cities, which is already being implemented in Sopot, Rzeszów, Łódź, Kraków,
Kielce, Wałbrzych, Częstochowa, Rybnik, Białystok, Chełm, Wrocław, Bytom, Gorzów Wielkopolski and Zielona Góra.
